BAI2 bank codes
Overview of common BAI2 bank transaction codes used for Accounts Receivable (AR) payment matching and reconciliation.
Banks send transaction details using standardized BAI2 codes. These codes indicate the type of transaction (for example, ACH credit, wire, debit, fee, adjustment).
Zuora automatically filters and categorizes these codes during onboarding:
Credit Codes (funds received) → Considered as potential customer payments.
Debit Codes (funds paid out / sweeps / fees) → Automatically eliminated from payment matching.
Balance / Summary Codes → Used only for bank reconciliation context, not for matching.
