Checkout.com Mastercard Transaction Link Identifier support
Checkout.com supports Transaction Link Identifier handling for eligible Mastercard 3D Secure 2.0 stored credential transactions.
Mastercard Transaction Link Identifier handling
For supported Mastercard stored credential transactions processed through Checkout.com, Zuora captures the Mastercard Transaction Link Identifier (TLID) that Checkout.com returns during the initial customer-initiated transaction (CIT).
Zuora stores the TLID with the stored credential data and includes it in eligible subsequent Mastercard merchant-initiated transaction (MIT) requests.
3DS2 payment flow
When you enable 3D Secure 2.0 (3DS2) for a Checkout.com Payment Page, Zuora sends the payment request through the Checkout.com 3DS2 flow.
-
The issuing bank determines whether the customer must complete a challenge.
-
After a successful Mastercard CIT, Zuora captures the TLID that Checkout.com returns, when available.
-
For a later eligible Mastercard MIT, Zuora uses the stored TLID to build the payment request.
The flow applies to supported Mastercard 3DS2 stored credential transactions.
The 3DS2 settings and the 3DS Challenge Indicator determine whether 3DS2 is enabled and which challenge indicator Zuora sends to Checkout.com.

Mastercard Transaction Link Identifier limitations
Mastercard Transaction Link Identifier availability depends on the Checkout.com response and the supported stored credential flow.
Mastercard TLID handling depends on the Checkout.com response and the supported Mastercard stored credential flow.
If Checkout.com does not return a TLID, Zuora cannot store or send the identifier for that transaction.
TLID support applies to Mastercard transactions. It does not change the documented 3DS2 support for Visa or American Express.
TLID availability in the Zuora user interface, APIs, data sources, or exports depends on the supported stored credential data model. Use TLID through these interfaces only when the corresponding documentation confirms its availability.
