Adjustment engine

Use this topic on how Zuora handles payment differences during cash application by defining adjustment types, calculation rules, limits, and application priorities.

Adjustments allow you to configure how Zuora should handle payment differences during cash application. These differences may occur because of bank charges, early payment discounts, chargebacks, deductions, round-offs, write-offs, or other short-payment scenarios. Once configured, Zuora uses these rules during payment matching and payment application to identify valid adjustments, apply them to the payment or invoice. This helps users complete reconciliation without manual calculations.
