Collections management

Define collection planning preferences

Learn how to set collection planning preferences by choosing between amount-based or invoice parameter-based targets, and configure the collection period and type.

You can choose between amount-based targets or invoice parameter-based targets for collections. Amount-based targets offer a straightforward method of goal setting, allowing collectors to focus on achieving a predetermined monetary target within a specified timeframe. Invoice parameter-based targets provide a more nuanced approach, allowing collectors to set targets based on specific invoice parameters such as age or priority.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Collections Management > Collection Planning.
  2. Choose the collection period timeframe of month or week.
  3. Choose the collection type.

    • For invoice-based targets, define the conditions that must be met to qualify invoices for collections.

    • For amount-based targets, you set a target at the start of the collection period.

  4. Save your changes. The settings you made may also impact the current period.
  5. Optionally, you can edit targets by collection owner from the Collector Management page.
