Additional options for Enhanced Unit-Based Prepaid with Drawdown

The enhanced options described in this section apply only to Enhanced Unit-Based Prepaid with Drawdown. To enable these enhancements, submit a request through Zuora Global Support.

When you subscribe to a unit-based prepayment charge, you can override most of the charge's preconfigured attributes during subscription creation.

You cannot override the following fields:

  • Charge Function

  • Commitment Type

  • Prepayment UOM

  • Credit Option

  • the rollover switch

If rollover is not enabled in the catalog, you cannot enable it when you place the order. If rollover is enabled in the catalog, you cannot disable it through the order.

Additional validity period alignment option

For Enhanced Unit-Based Prepaid with Drawdown, Validity Period Alignment also supports Specific Date during subscription creation. Use this option when you want to align the validity period to a specific anchor date for the subscription.

Additional proration option

For Enhanced Unit-Based Prepaid with Drawdown, the Proration option supports the following options for eligible prepayment charges:

  • Default From Tenant Setting (default)

  • Customize Proration

If you select Default From Tenant Setting, Zuora applies the tenant-level proration behavior configured in Billing Rules - Proration.

If you select Customize Proration, use Prepayment Proration Rule to control whether the customer pays the original full amount or a prorated amount based on the purchase date:

  • Prorate Amount

  • Charge Full Amount

Additional rollover end date option

For Enhanced Unit-Based Prepaid with Drawdown, Rollover End Date Type also supports Specific Date at order time. Use this option when you want the rollover to end on a specific date. To end the rollover on a specific date, select Specific Date and define the date explicitly.
