Commitment Usage Drawdown

Use this billing rule to control how usage charges draw down commitment balance. This billing rule applies to both subscription usage charges and dynamic usage charges. This setting is a tenant-level billing rule. It applies to commitment usage drawdown behavior across the tenant.

The following options are provided:

• By Billing Period (default): Zuora draws down usage charges based on the billed usage amount for the billing period.

• By Daily: Zuora draws down usage charges based on daily usage amounts instead of a single billing-period total.

By Daily is supported only for charge models that support unbilled usage. If a charge model does not support unbilled usage, Zuora defaults to By Billing Period for commitment usage drawdown.
