Create ramp deals
Learn how to create ramp deals in Zuora by enabling necessary settings and configuring quotes in Salesforce.
Ensure that you enabled Enable Ramp for Orders? in your Zuora tenant. To enable go to Billing Settings > Default Subscription and Order Settings in the Zuora Billing UI. Ensure the Enable Ramp for Orders? setting is set to Yes.
Ensure that you enabled Enable Ramp Deal Creation in Quote Studio setting.
Ensure that you enabled Enable Ramp Ramp Metrics setting.
Other considerations:
The following limitations exist in the Ramps feature:
A maximum of 12 Ramp Intervals is supported in a Ramp.
Creating a Pending Subscription is not supported in Ramp.
- In your Salesforce org, navigate to the Account Detail page of an account or the Opportunity Detail page of an opportunity.
- Click the New Quote (New) button.
- In the area of Step 1: Select a Billing Account, select a billing account from the table.
- In the area of Step 2: Select a Subscription, click New Subscription on the right.
- Click
in the Quote Summary card at the top to configure the quote information in the expanded view, including the quote name, associated account and opportunity, the valid period of the quote, and whether it is a primary quote.
- Click
in the Subscription Summary section to configure basic information of the subscription, including the subscription type, terms and conditions, whether it is a ramp deal, and billing information. - Select the products and rate plans on which the subscription is created.
- Click Submit. The configuration is then submitted successfully.
