|---|---|---|---|---|
| Enable Ship To Contact |
Enabling this setting allows you to select a Ship To Contact for both Single Subscription Quoting and Multi Subscription Quoting. This aligns Quote Studio with existing billing capabilities and allows you to define a shipping contact directly on the quote. The Ship To Contact feature must be enabled in the connected Zuora tenant to use this functionality. This setting is available from Quotes version 10.57. You can add ShipToContact__c to the following Quote object field sets to display the Ship To Contact field in Quote Studio:
Note: Ship To Contact is supported only at the billing account level.

|
Rules Engine for Quote Studio |
Rules defined through the rules engine are not inherently supported in CPQ X for scenarios where multiple segments exist in a charge. Such scenarios include ramp deals and future dated actions. By default, if the rules engine is enabled for Zuora Quotes, rules can work in Zuora Quotes but cannot be used in CPQ X. To allow the rules to be used on the Quote Studio page, you must enable the Rules Engine for Quote Studio setting. | |||
|
Disable "Information Modal" Pop-Up when Rules Trigger |
When this setting is enabled, the notification modal doesn't show up by itself. Instead, it needs to be opened manually by clicking the notification icon. On the other hand, if the setting is disabled, the rules engine validation notification modal appears automatically. | |||
|
Enable Ramp Deal Creation in Quote Studio |
Configure this setting to enable or disable ramps in quotes. With this setting disabled, no ramp settings are displayed in Quote Studio, thus users cannot create new quotes with ramps. If users attempt to amend or renew quotes that contain existing ramps, they cannot complete in-flight quotes, but can see previous ramp actions with no intervals displayed. | |||
|
Enable Flexible Billing in Quote Studio |
With this setting enabled, you can specify billing attributes including bill-to-contacts and payment terms at the subscription level. Note that the system will allow you to enable this setting only if the Flexible Billing feature is enabled in the connected Zuora tenant. Otherwise, you will receive an error stating “ Your Zuora Tenant is not enabled Flexible Billing. Please reach out to Zuora Support to avail “Flexible Billing” feature” . | |||
|
Display Contact Address fields in Subscription Level Contact picklists |
With this setting enabled, Subscription Bill To Contact field displays Bill To Contact Addresses as a picklist value. This setting must be used in conjunction with Enable Flexible Billing in Quote Studio setting. | |||
|
Display Bill To Contact Address fields in the Invoice Owner Account picklist |
With this setting enabled, Invoice Owner field will display Bill To Contact Address with Billing Account Name as picklist values. | |||
|
Enable Subscription Owner Transfer |
With this setting enabled, you can transfer ownership of subscriptions from one customer account to another. | |||
|
Enable Nested Discount Rows |
With this setting enabled, you can use Nested Discount rows in a subscription. See Enable Discount Rows in CPQ X for more information. | |||
|
Rate Plan Per Page |
With this setting enabled, you can customize the number of rate plans displayed on each page. By default, the value is set to 20 rate plans per page. Note that in the given example, if you have 30 rate plans and the default rate plans per page is set to 10, the pagination will function as follows:

| Enable Charge Segment Metrics |
With this setting enabled, a Zuora Quotes managed package object, Charge Segment, is populated with segment-level metrics when a quote is saved. This object relates to the quote, among other existing Zuora Quotes objects. These segment-level metrics represent the metrics for a charge's lifetime, across terms, for a specific period represented per charge, per interval, and discounts applied. To use Charge Segment metrics, you must have Orders enabled. For more information, see Quote and Charge metrics. The Charge Segment in the Quotes object model is available for Single Subscription Quoting from Quotes version 10.38 onwards and for Multi Subscription Quoting from Quotes version 10.47 onwards. Starting with Quotes version 10.55, when Charge Segment Metrics is enabled, Zuora CPQ has access to Charge Segment period and delta metrics that drive the Ramp Interval rollup fields (Ramp Interval Subtotal, Ramp Interval Total, Ramp Interval Discount, Ramp Interval Delta Subtotal, and Ramp Interval Delta Total) on the Quote Ramp Interval object. Note:
Ramp Interval rollup fields are calculated from Charge Segment metrics and may not match invoice-based Interval Subtotal and Interval Total fields, particularly in renewal scenarios where the original subscription has not yet been fully billed. | |||
| Use Charge Segment metrics to populate Charge Level metrics in: Note:
When this setting is enabled, discount charges (Discount Percentage and Discount Fixed Amount charge models) do not display values in the Charge Subtotal column. The subtotal for discount charges appears as a dash (–). For interval-level discount visibility, use the Ramp Interval Discount rollup on the Quote Ramp Interval object. For subscription-level discount visibility, use the Segment Subscription Discount rollup on the Quote object. | ||||
| Amendment and Renewal Quotes | With this setting enabled, charge-level metrics from Charge Segments based on Period Metrics from the Order Preview response are displayed in the Charge Subtotal column, enhancing accuracy and aligning with Order Metrics. This setting is available only when the Enable Charge Segment Metrics setting is ON.
This setting is available for Single Subscription Quoting from Quotes version 10.44.1 onwards and for Multi Subscription Quoting from Quotes version 10.47 onwards. Prior to Quotes version 10.55, this setting was named Use Charge Segment metrics to populate Charge Level metrics in Amendment and Renewal Quotes. | |||
|
New Subscription Ramp Quotes |
With this setting enabled, Quote Studio displays Charge Segment–based interval metrics for New Subscription ramp quotes in the product table's Charge Subtotal column. Instead of using invoice item metrics to calculate the Charge Subtotal and interval-level metrics for ramp intervals, the UI uses period-aligned metrics from the Charge Segment object based on the interval start and end dates. This provides a more accurate distribution of ramp subtotals when:
This setting is available only when Enable Charge Segment Metrics is turned on. It applies to New Subscription ramp quotes only. This setting is available from Quotes version 10.55 onwards. | |||
| On Amendment Quotes, Default new Product Update Actions to Original Product Add Date |
If you amend a subscription with a ramp for a QSD that doesn't fall in, the effective date will default to the Interval Start Date. Note that using Prohibit Backdate Actions and On Amendment Quotes, Default new Product Update Actions to Original Product Add Date together is not possible since the two settings conflict. | |||
|
View Amendment Quotes as of Quote Start Date |
With this setting enabled, on an amendment quote, CPQ X considers the quote to start from the Quote Start Date instead of the subscription term start date, thus will filter out actions before that date. This setting must be used in conjunction with the Hide Original One-Time Charges setting under Zuora Config > Quote Configuration Settings.
| |||
|
Prohibit Backdate Actions |
With this setting enabled, the Contract Effective Date of update actions cannot be set to earlier than the Quote Start Date. Note that if Update Amendment Quotes as of Original/Subscription Term Start Date is also enabled, users can still update original products as of the original trigger date. | |||
|
Schedule MSQ Status Job |
Click this button to re-enable the AsyncStatusJob job. This button is visible only when MSQ is enabled and the AsyncStatusJob is not currently running. This ensures that it is accessible precisely when needed, streamlining the process of managing MSQ functionality. | |||
| Disable MSQ Amend/Renew Quote creation if only one Subscription is selected |
With this setting enabled, the Amend Selected Subscriptions and Renew Selected Subscriptions buttons are disabled to prevent the amendment or renewal of Quotes when you select only one subscription. This setting is available from Quotes version 10.41 onwards. | |||
|
Enforce single MSQ Primary Quote per Opportunity |
With this setting enabled, only one MSQ primary quote can exist per opportunity. Marking a new MSQ parent quote as primary will automatically uncheck others. You can no longer use the Primary field on child MSQ quotes. This setting also works in conjunction with the existing Single Subscription Quoting (SSQ) setting, Enforce Single Primary Quote, under Quote Configuration Settings. When both settings are enabled, only one primary quote — either an MSQ or an SSQ — can exist under the same Opportunity. Additionally, when a non-primary quote is sent to Zuora Billing, it will now be automatically marked as primary. This setting is available from Quotes version 10.50 onwards. The following table describes how both settings behave when an Opportunity includes SSQ and MSQ quotes: | |||

Hide "greyed out" charges that have ended in prior version when creating Renewal Quotes |
With this setting enabled, expired charges are hidden in renewal quotes if those charges met their end-date condition in a prior version. This setting is available from Quotes version 10.53 onwards. This setting does not apply when the Allow "Expose Charges Ended in Prior version" setting under is enabled for the configured users. | |||
