How credit card processing works on EBANX in India
When a customer pays with a credit card through EBANX in India, the following sequence occurs:
- The customer enters card details on a Zuora Payment Page (iframe), a Hosted Payment Form, or a form built with the Zuora Payment SDK. In India, the customer also provides an Identity Number, which is the customer's identification document number.
- Zuora initiates 3D Secure 2.0 authentication, because 3D Secure 2.0 is required for card transactions in India. The customer completes the bank's authentication challenge in a secure frame displayed on the page.
- After successful authentication, EBANX processes the payment and returns the result to your application.
For recurring billing, Zuora stores the card as a payment method and uses merchant-initiated transactions (MIT) with stored credentials to process subsequent payments. Where available, Zuora uses network tokens for Visa and Mastercard transactions.
Keep the following points in mind:
- 3D Secure 2.0 is required for credit card transactions in India. Transactions that are not authenticated with 3D Secure 2.0 are not supported.
- Network tokens are supported for Visa and Mastercard transactions only. Other supported card networks are processed using the card details.
