Payment Method Updater for American Express (AMEX)
Zuora's Payment Method Updater (PMU) for American Express (AMEX) helps merchants manage card updates by automatically receiving updated card information from AMEX. This guide details the configuration process, prerequisites, and operational steps for using the PMU service.
Zuora supports Card Refresher from American Express through the Zuora Payment Method Updater (PMU). This feature helps merchants stay informed when a cardmember replaces or upgrades their American Express card information.
When you configure the PMU, Zuora sends American Express an initial registry file that contains the card information for the American Express cardmembers with whom you have established recurring billing or card-on-file relationships. American Express Card Refresher then delivers a daily electronic file to Zuora over Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) that contains any updated card information.
You can create only one American Express updater instance. After you create the instance, you can only activate or deactivate it.
The PMU for American Express is not supported in the Zuora test environment.
