Deployment Manager: product catalog

Pre-validation for product catalog deployments

Learn how to use Pre-validation in Deployment Manager to verify deployments, identify missing dependencies, and ensure smoother deployments.

Pre-validation in Deployment Manager allows you to verify deployments before applying changes to the target tenant.

This early feedback mechanism helps you identify missing dependencies upfront, ensuring smoother deployments. By detecting errors early, Pre-Validation saves time, reduces deployment failures.

Note: Verify and Deploy is available for Product Catalog and Notifications only.
  1. On the select step of creating a deployment, select Product Catalog and select Next.

    For initial steps on creating a new deployment, see Run a Deployment from steps 1 through 5.

    The system generates the comparison list and redirects you to the Deployments screen.

  2. Select Refresh to view the status.

    For a successful product catalog deployment, the status should display as COMPARE-DONE.

  3. Once the comparison is complete, select View Details on the appropriate deployment card.
  4. select the components to deploy and select Verify and Deploy.
  5. On the Validate components screen, select Deploy.
  6. On the Confirmation screen, select Confirm.

    In the Deployment Setup screen, select whether you want to receive an email notification for the deployment result, and then select Start Deployment..

  7. The status is displayed as Deploying. Select Refresh to view the updated status.
