Pre-validation for product catalog deployments

Learn how to use pre-validation in Deployment Manager to verify product catalog deployments and identify missing dependencies before you apply changes to the target tenant.

Pre-validation in Deployment Manager allows you to verify deployments before you apply changes to the target tenant. This early feedback mechanism helps you identify missing dependencies upfront, saves time, and reduces deployment failures.

Note: Verify and Deploy is available for Product Catalog and Notifications only.
  1. On the Deployments screen, click the +New button.
  2. On the Basics screen:
    1. Enter a Deployment Name and an optional Description.
    2. Select a Source Tenant Configuration and a template.
    3. Click Next.
      Note: The Target Tenant is populated automatically and cannot be modified.
  3. On the Select screen, do one of the following:
    • Select Product Catalog, and then select the product details for comparison: primary key, Products in source tenant, and rate plans.

    • If Catalog (New) is selected, select Products, and the product details for comparison: primary key, products in source tenant, and rate plans.

    1. Click Next.

    The system generates the comparison list and redirects you to the Deployments screen.

  4. (Optional) Click Refresh to view the status.

    For a successful product catalog deployment, the status is displayed as COMPARE-DONE.

  5. When the comparison is complete, click View Details on the appropriate deployment card.
  6. Select the components to deploy, and then click Verify and Deploy.
  7. On the Validate components screen, click Deploy.
  8. On the Confirmation screen, click Confirm.
  9. On the Deployment Setup screen, specify whether you want to receive an email notification for the deployment result, and then click Start Deployment. Result:

    The status is displayed as Deploying. Click Refresh to view the updated status.

When the deployment completes successfully, the status is displayed as DONE.
