Multi-Org configuration and management

Add a child org unit

Learn how to add a child org unit by specifying hierarchy details, invoice display information, and reporting currency settings.

Adding an org unit is irreversible. After an org unit is created, you cannot delete it because of taxation and legal implications. To discuss advanced operations such as re-parenting, splitting, or merging org units, contact the Zuora Global Support team, who route your request to the Zuora Multi-Org team.In the Add Organization dialog, provide the required information for the child org unit.

  1. Click your username at the top right and navigate to Administration > Organization Hierarchy Management.
  2. In the Hierarchy section, navigate to the root org to add a child org. Click the ellipsis icon and then click Add.
  3. In the Add Organization dialog, specify the following information to add a child org unit:

    • Enter a Name for the child org unit.

    • Enter a Invoice Display Name.

    • Enter the Invoice Details of the child org unit to display on the invoice.

    • From the list, select the Functional Currency of the child org .

      Note: The Reporting Currency is a read-only field inherited from the root org unit of the hierachy.

    • Enter a Description to display on the invoice.

  4. Click Add.

    Refer to the org-unit table for the list of permissible field values.
