Limit Supervised mode to specific roles

The Use Supervised AI permission controls which user roles can perform AI-assisted write actions when a tenant is in Supervised mode.

If your tenant is in Supervised mode, users whose roles allow write actions can use Supervised mode by default. Administrators can remove the Use Supervised AI permission from specific roles to keep those users in read-only AI behavior.

The Use Supervised AI permission is granted by default. If an administrator removes this permission from a role, users in that role can still use Zuora AI to read data and ask questions, but they cannot propose or approve AI write actions.

This permission does not grant additional access. It only restricts AI-assisted write capability. A user can perform an AI-assisted write action only when all of the following conditions are met:

RequirementDescription
Tenant modeThe tenant is in Supervised mode.
Role permissionThe user role includes the Use Supervised AI permission.
Zuora permissionsThe user already has permission to perform the action in Zuora.
ControlsThe action is not blocked by Zuora AI Controls.
User approvalThe user approves the proposed action before it runs.

Use this permission when you want some users, such as contractors or junior roles, to remain in read-only AI behavior while other users can use Supervised mode.
