Create a rule from scratch
Learn how to create a rule from scratch by defining triggers, conditions, and actions in the Payment Gateway Routing interface.
- The Payment Gateway Routing feature is enabled on your tenant. For more information, see Enable Payment Gateway Routing.
- You have the Edit Payment Gateway Routing permission. For more information, see Payments roles.
- Open the rule editor.
- Click your username in the upper-right corner, and then navigate to .
- Click the Payment Gateway Routing tab.
- In the Routing Rules section, click .
- Add a trigger to the rule. For instructions, see Add a trigger to a routing rule.
- Add one or more conditions to the rule. For instructions, see Add conditions to a routing rule.
- Add an action to each branch. For instructions, see Add an action to a routing rule.
- (Optional) Configure an in-transaction retry on a branch. For instructions, see Add an in-transaction retry to a routing rule.
- Name and save the rule. For instructions, see Name and save a routing rule.
The rule is created with an inactive status. To activate it, see Activate a rule.
The new rule appears last in the rule priority list. To change the priority order, see Prioritize rules.
