Cancel a Commitment using the Zuora UI
Learn how to cancel a commitment in the Zuora UI and configure cancellation options.
- Navigate to Customers > Commitments. The Commitments page opens.
- Click a commitment number in the Commitment Number column.
- Click Cancel Commitment.
- Enter the following details to configure the cancellation options:

Cancellation Effective Date
Date on which the commitment terminates. This date must be on or after the last contribution date. Current date is used when effective date is not provided.
Cancellation Settlement Option

No settlement: cancel the commitment and waive the true-up evaluation.

Full minimum due: evaluate and true up all remaining periods.

Period minimum due: evaluate and true up through the cancellation period.
Once cancelled, the commitment moves to the Cancelled-Pending evaluation state and no longer accepts charge contributions after the cancellation effective date. Charges with service periods before the cancellation effective date can still contribute to the period until the period is evaluated.
The cancellation action itself does not trigger the true-up evaluation. You can run billing at any time for the cancelled commitment. The billing target date should be set on or after the cancellation effective date for a cancelled commitment.
