Rollover enhancements
Enhanced Unit-Based Prepaid with Drawdown lets you configure more flexible rollover behavior for unused units.
Enable rollover
Set Rollover to enable rollover for unused units.
Rollover type
You can define rollover type in either of the following ways:
- by validity period, using Rollover Periods to limit the number of rollover cycles. The default value is 3. Higher values can be enabled by submitting a ticket through Zuora Global Support.
- by a single custom rollover period, using Rollover Period Length and Rollover Period Type to define the custom rollover duration.
Last rollover fund
When Rollover Periods is set to 3, the fund can be rolled over a maximum of three times. After the final rollover fund is created, if you continue to run a bill run for the charge and the bill run target date is later than the end date of the final rollover fund, Zuora automatically depletes the final rollover fund.
For example, if Rollover Periods is set to 3, Zuora creates rollover funds for up to three rollover periods. If a later bill run has a target date after the end date of the third rollover fund, Zuora automatically depletes that final fund.
Rollover end date type
Use Rollover End Date Type to define when the rollover fund expires. Supported values are Subscription Term, Charge End Date, and Specific Date. Specific Date is available only at order time.
Rollover priority
Use Rollover Priority if rollover funds must use a different drawdown priority than the original funds.
Rollover application option
Use Rollover Application Option to control whether rollover funds are consumed before or after normal funds:
- Apply First
- Apply Last
When multiple funds are eligible, Zuora selects funds from the following buckets in order:
- funds marked Apply First
- normal funds
- funds marked Apply Last
Within each bucket, Zuora uses the configured priority.
