Zuora CPQ Deprecation Policy

Zuora Quotes Versions < 10.0

This article outlines the deprecation policy for Zuora CPQ legacy versions and provides guidance on upgrading to version 10 or higher.

Deprecation policy

This policy will only affect you if you are on the following versions:

  • Zuora Quotes Versions < 10.0

    • 9.0, 9.1, 9.1.1, 9.1.2, 9.1.3, 9.2, 9.2.1, 9.3, 9.4, 9.5, 9.6, 9.6.1, 9.7, 9.8, 9.9, 9.9.1, 9.10, 9.11, 9.11.1, 9.12, 9.13, 9.14, 9.14.1, 9.15, 9.15.1, 9.15.2, 9.16, 9.16.1, 9.17, 9.18, 9.19, 9.19.1, 9.19.2, 9.20, 9.21, 9.21.2, 9.22, 9.23, 9.24.1, 9.24.2, 9.25, 9.25.1, 9.26, 9.26.1, 9.27, 9.28, 9.29, 9.29.1, 9.30, 9.31, 9.31.1, 9.31.3, 9.32.1, 9.33.1, 9.34, 9.35, 9.36, 9.37, 9.38.1, 9.39, 9.40, 9.41, 9.41.1, 9.41.2, 9.41.3, 9.42, 9.42.1, 9.43, 9.43.1, 9.43.2

To check the version of your Zuora CPQ packages, see Check versions in the Salesforce Setup Menu.

This policy will take full effect on November 30, 2024. At that point, any customers who are still using these versions will be required to upgrade to version 10 or higher. As a best practice, it is recommended to upgrade to the latest version of CPQ; however, the minimum requirement is to upgrade to at least 10.0.

Upgrading can be done in stages within the timeline that makes sense for your organization to allocate resources to testing the upgrades in Sandbox Orgs before upgrading Production Orgs. See the schedule below for a full explanation of the timeline.

Upgrade paths

We recommend that you upgrade to the latest packages of Zuora Quotes. The package upgrades are designed to be self-service and backward compatible, but if you require heavy customizations that need technical expertise, contact your Zuora account team who can advise you on resources available to you, including Zuora Services.

Deprecation schedule

November, 2023

This upgrade policy article is available in the Knowledge Center.

Support starts proactive communication to the customers on the affected versions to be deprecated.

The upgrade policy announcement is sent to all Zuora Quotes and Zuora 360 customers.

April, 2024A general reminder is sent to all customers of impacted versions about the timeline and the package links.
July 31, 2024
  • A reminder is sent to all customers on version 9.43.2 or earlier of the pending deprecation date.
  • End of support
November 30, 2024
  • The installation links for the affected versions are removed. Zuora will officially deprecate Zuora Quotes versions 9.43.2 or earlier, which will no longer be operable.
  • End of life
