Learn how to configure and apply percentage-based Calculated Charges to quotes in Quote Studio.

1. Log in as a Salesforce user and create a new quote, or amend or renew an existing quote.
2. In Quote Studio, click Browse Products.

   Calculated Charge products are identified by percentage-based pricing values, such as 10.00% / month.

3. Select the required product and rate plans, and then click Add Selections to include the charges in the quote.
   Note:

   • Calculated Charge products are indicated by the Calculated Charge
     icon.

   • The preview amount does not include usage charges and is not the final amount.

4. To update the Calculated Charge configuration, click the Calculated Charge.
   Note:

   • In the Calculated Charge Setup tab, existing configurations are automatically loaded to reflect the current configuration.

   • For amend and renew quotes, only the minimum and maximum thresholds can be edited.

5. In the Calculated Charge Setup tab, configure the following fields:

   • Percentage – the percentage used to calculate the fee from the total amount of eligible charges. This field is mandatory

   • Minimum Amount – the minimum fee for the calculated charge. If the percentage-based amount is lower than this value, the minimum value is used.

   • Maximum Amount – the maximum fee for the calculated charge. If the percentage-based amount is higher than this value, the maximum value is used.

   • From the Account Scope dropdown, select which accounts are eligible to contribute to Calculated Charge:

     • Current Calculated Charge's Invoice Owner: Includes charges that belong to the same invoice owner account as the calculated charge.

     • Current Calculated Charge's Invoice Owner's Direct Child Account: Includes charges owned by the direct child accounts of the calculated charge's invoice owner, excluding the invoice owner account itself.

     • Current Calculated Charge's Invoice Owner and Direct Child Account: Includes charges owned by both the calculated charge's invoice owner account and its direct child accounts.

     • Current Calculated Charge’s Subscription Owner: Includes charges owned by the same subscription owner account as the calculated charge.

     • Current Calculated Charge’s Subscription Owner Direct Child Accounts: Includes charges owned by the direct child accounts of the calculated charge’s subscription owner, excluding the subscription owner account itself.

     • Current Calculated Charge’s Subscription Owner and Direct Child Accounts: Includes charges owned by both the calculated charge’s subscription owner account and its direct child accounts.

     • Search Other Accounts: Lets you select specific existing accounts instead of using the calculated charge’s invoice or subscription owner.

       Note: The View accounts in scope preview button shows the accounts.

   • From the Charge Filters dropdown select the charges that are included in the spend amount to which the percentage is applied.

     • All Charges: Default option that includes all charges within the selected account scope in the spend calculation.Accounts field.

     • Filtered Charges: Select the option to limit the charges under the selected account scope. When this option is chosen, Quote Studio lists the following options:

       • Existing Subscription Charges: use this option to select charges from existing subscriptions that are already within the scope of the calculated charge. Quote Studio displays the subscriptions and their charges that are eligible based on the selected account scope. You can choose one or more of these charges to include in the calculated charge.

       • Current Quote Charges: Use this option when you want the calculated charge to apply only to charges being added in the current quote. Quote Studio displays the charges from the in-progress quote you are working on. You can select one or more of these charges to include in the calculated charge

6. Click Save.
