Field mappings
Field mappings define how Zuora CPQ values populate Salesforce Opportunity Product fields. Use field mappings to map standard and custom fields and ensure required field-level security for the Discount field.
Field mappings define which Zuora CPQ values populate which Opportunity Products fields.
-
The mapping UI lists all Opportunity Products fields, including:
-
Standard fields (e.g., Opportunity, PricebookEntry).
-
Custom fields you created (e.g., zqu__GrossMRR__c, zqu__NetTCB__c).
-
-
Some mappings are required and auto-created (not deletable, but source can often be changed):
-
OpportunityId (set from the quote’s parent Opportunity).
-
PricebookEntryId (from the product and Standard Pricebook).
-
Quantity (typically from Charge Segment quantity).
-
TotalPrice (typically from Charge Segment Net TCB).
-
You can map both custom Opportunity Product fields and supported standard Opportunity Product fields in the Field Mappings configuration. In addition to fields such as Opportunity, PricebookEntry, Quantity, and TotalPrice, supported standard destination fields can also be selected when they are available in Salesforce.
If the Discount field does not display in the destination field list when you create or edit a field mapping, verify the field-level security for Opportunity Product (OpportunityLineItem). The user who is configuring Opportunity Product Sync must have Read access to the OpportunityLineItem.Discount field for the field to display in the destination dropdown.
The same user must also have Edit access to OpportunityLineItem.Discount for the mapping to be saved successfully and for the mapped value to be written during sync.
To update field-level security for the Discount field in Salesforce:
Navigate to .
Open Set Field-Level Security, or grant access through a permission set.
Grant Read access so the field is available in the field mapping destination list.
Grant Edit access so the mapping can be saved and the sync can write values to the field.
