Quote Object records created with Orders
This article explains how CPQ object records are created in different quoting scenarios, highlighting the impact of enabling the Orders feature on existing Zuora Subscribe and Amend customers.
The purpose of this article is to show how CPQ object records are created for different scenarios of quoting (New, Amend, and Renew).
Note:
When you enable the Orders feature in your CPQ instance, the system creates the object records differently than when it is not enabled. Hence, if you are an existing Zuora Subscribe and Amend customer, you may need to modify your reports or quote templates referencing CPQ objects as they are created differently with the Orders feature enabled.
Subscription dates
| Subscription dates | Description |

| Quote Start Date | The Quote Start Date (QSD) in CPQ will drive the Contract Effective Date of the subscription and product actions. For new subscriptions, it will be the Contract Effective Date of Create Subscription Action, which will translate to the Subscription Start Date of the subscription. |
| Subscription Start Date | The start date of the subscription (e.g., Creating a new subscription with a start date of 01-01-2022 with a 12-month initial term). Subscription Start Date defines the Start Date of the Original Subscription.

| Term Start Date | The start date of the current term. Note that by default, the Term Start Date is the same as the Subscription Start Date, but the Term Start Date can be configured to be BEFORE or AFTER the Subscription Start Date based on the requirement.

| Billing Trigger Date | Zuora allows you to set up the following three billing trigger dates:

| Product Action Trigger Date | It is the date when a product is added or modified to the subscription. At the product action level, you can also define the trigger dates (Contract Effective Date, Service Activation Date, and Customer Acceptance Date). |
| Trigger Condition | The trigger condition determines when the recurring charge becomes active and begins billing.
