Stripe Real‑Time Account Updater

What Stripe RTAU Updates in Zuora

Zuora updates credit card payment methods with the latest data from Stripe during eligible RTAU events, including expiration date, last four digits, and card brand, without sending the full card PAN.

When an eligible Stripe RTAU event is received for a tokenized credit card:

  • Zuora updates the existing credit card payment method with the latest data from Stripe, including:
      • card.exp_month
      • card.exp_year
      • card.last4
      • card.brand

  • Stripe does not send the full card PAN in these webhook events. Zuora updates only the metadata listed above, not the raw card number. PAN replacement is inferred from changes in the fingerprint and/or last 4 digits
