Set up the Worldpay payment method updater

Learn how to configure the Worldpay High Capacity Gateway as a payment method updater in Zuora so that customer credit card information remains current.

  • You are enrolled in the Worldpay Account Updater program.
  • You have a Worldpay High Capacity Gateway account, including merchant ID, user credentials, AES-256 passphrase, and SFTP credentials.

Zuora integrates with the Worldpay High Capacity Gateway to provide a payment method updater service. To use this updater, you must enroll in the Worldpay Account Updater program.

Note:
  • Zuora integrates with a different Worldpay gateway for payment processing. You need two separate Worldpay accounts: one for payment services and a Worldpay High Capacity Gateway account for the payment method updater.
  • To test the Worldpay payment method updater workflow without entering a passphrase or with an incorrect passphrase, select the Bypass credential validation checkbox. Use this option for testing purposes only.
  1. In Zuora, navigate to Settings > Payments > Setup Payment Method Updater.
  2. In the Updater Type field, select Worldpay.
  3. Click Add payment method updater.
  4. Select the updater services that you want to enable.

    Visa and Mastercard are supported.

  5. Enter your credentials.
    • Name: Enter a name for your updater configuration, for example, Worldpay HCG Updater.
    • Merchant ID: Enter the merchant ID that Worldpay provided for your High Capacity Gateway Updater account. If you have more than one merchant account, contact Worldpay to confirm which one to use for the High Capacity Gateway Updater service.
    • User Name: Enter the user name for your Worldpay High Capacity Gateway account. This field is required.
    • Password: Enter the password that corresponds to the user name.
    • Passphrase: Enter the AES-256 passphrase that the High Capacity Gateway service provided. Zuora uses this passphrase to decrypt the response file.
    • SFTP User Name: Enter the user name used for reconciliation.
    • SFTP Password: Enter the password used for reconciliation.
  6. In the Start Payment Method Updater service days prior to the Bill Cycle Day field, enter a value.

Zuora recommends the default value of 6 days because the Worldpay High Capacity Gateway Updater service takes approximately 5 to 6 days to process credit card updates.

  7. Optional: Select Only update payment methods for customer accounts associated to this gateway/processor to limit updates to credit cards for customer accounts that have Worldpay set as the payment gateway in Billing and Payment Info.

Clear this checkbox to send all credit card information to Worldpay.

  8. Click Save account information.
