Configure Zuora Fraud Protection

Learn how to configure Zuora Fraud Protection by setting up an account in the LexisNexis ThreatMetrix portal and enabling the service for your Zuora tenant.

  1. To set up Zuora Fraud Protection, submit a request to Zuora Global Support. Zuora performs the following tasks:

    • Sets up an account for you in the LexisNexis ThreatMetrix (TMX) portal.

    • Enables Zuora Fraud Protection for your Zuora tenant.

In your request, include the following information:

    • Your Zuora tenant IDs.

    • Email alias for each admin user.

Zuora creates the LexisNexis account and grants the specified administrators secure access to manage users and permissions in the LexisNexis (TMX) portal. If you do not provide an email alias, Zuora cannot provision access to the account.

  2. After Zuora provisions Zuora Fraud Protection, configure your policy in the LexisNexis (TMX) portal.

After Zuora Support confirms that your TMX account is set up and that Zuora Fraud Protection is enabled for your Zuora tenant, complete the following tasks in Zuora:

  1. In the upper-right corner, click your username, and then click Settings > Payments.
  2. Click Configure Fraud Protection Services.

The Configure Fraud Protection Services page opens.

  3. Click Edit.
  4. Select the types of transactions that you want the fraud protection service to screen:
    1. Card transactions initiated through hosted payment pages.
Note: Card transactions initiated through the Zuora Hosted Payment Form are not supported.
    2. Non-card transactions (bank transfer and direct debit) initiated through hosted payment pages.
    3. Card transactions submitted by any operation that creates a payment through the Zuora UI, APIs, or payment runs.
    4. Non-card transactions (bank transfer and direct debit) submitted by any operation that creates a payment through the Zuora UI, APIs, or payment runs.
  5. To upload chargeback data from Zuora to LexisNexis TMX, select Enable automatic chargeback data uploads.
  6. Enter the org ID, API key, and policy name from your LexisNexis (TMX) portal:
    1. Log in to your LexisNexis (TMX) portal and navigate to the organization that you want to use.
    2. To get the org ID, click the Settings tab in the upper-right corner, and then copy the value in the Org Id field.
    3. To get the API key, click Admin > API Keys, and then copy the API key that you want to use.
