Integrate new subscription quote

Learn how to integrate a new subscription quote in Salesforce CPQ, including creating and editing quotes, adding products, and validating subscriptions in Zuora.

  1. In Salesforce CPQ, create a new quote for an opportunity as described in the Salesforce CPQ documentation.
  2. On the Quote Edit page, the following fields are required:
    • Primary: Select the field

    • Subscription Term

    • Start Date

    The following account-related fields are required:

    • For a new billing account:

      • Bill to Contact
      • Sold to Contact
      • Billing Batch
      • Bill Cycle Day
      • Tax Exempt Status
    • For an existing billing account: Billing Account or Billing Account ID

  3. Enter any other relevant fields and click Save.
  4. Add products to the quote and open the quote.
  5. On the Quote Detail page, click Contract.
  6. Review the information and click Contract to generate a contract for the quote.

    If the action fails, check for the additional status as described in Troubleshooting.

  7. In the Contracts section, click the generated contract number.
  8. On the Contract Detail page, click Validate to validate the subscriptions in the contract. Note that this feature is only supported in ZSB 2.11 and later releases. See Subscription Validation for details.
  9. On the Contract Detail page, click Preview from Zuora to generate quote metrics from Zuora.
  10. Click Send to Zuora.
  11. Review the validation information and click Send to Zuora to confirm.
  12. Log into your Zuora tenant to verify the new subscription created.
