Prerequisites and configuration
Configure the prerequisites required for Rip and Replace processing, including VC Rollover and the reference profile option.
Prerequisites
Before using the Rip and Replace functionality, ensure that:
Performance Obligations are configured for rollover.
The required application profile is configured.
Replacement transactions reference the appropriate ripped transactions.
The Rip and Replacement Process is available for execution.
Configuration
For every Performance Obligation that participates in the Rip and Replace process, enable the seeded Variable Consideration type:
VC Rollover
This Variable Consideration type allows the application to automatically create the required revenue adjustments during the rollover process.
VC Rollover is a seeded Variable Consideration type delivered with the application.
Profile name
CONSUMPTION_RIP_REF_COLUMN
Purpose
This profile determines which transaction attribute is used to establish the relationship between a ripped transaction and its replacement transaction.
During transaction collection, the system searches the replacement transaction using the configured reference column.

The application currently supports:
One ripped line → One replacement line
Multiple ripped lines → One replacement line
