Zuora Revenue testing environments
You have different testing environments available for you to test the Zuora Revenue application, APIs, and supported integrations.
Production copy environment (sandbox)
The production copy environment is a private, isolated customer sandbox, intended for release preview, system testing, and data modeling. It comes with a copy of your production data, which is running completely on AWS on a reduced capacity or footprint. Data and the application are refreshed on demand. By default, the customer gets 1 or 2 tenants as outlined in their contract. Zuora customers can purchase any number of additional tenants in this copy environment for a recurring annual fee.
Sandbox environments can be used for regression testing, system testing, or data modeling for new scenarios.
Sandbox environments cannot be used for performance testing, load testing, historical data conversions, or regular production close.
Sandbox environments are run on a best-effort basis and do not have a guaranteed uptime or performance.
Software updates typically involve code changes only and do not refresh existing customer data in the sandbox environment.
For quarterly releases, one of the sandboxes is updated a minimum of four weeks before the production update. Additional sandboxes are updated a few hours after production environments are updated, or by on-demand requests.
You can refresh the sandbox with the production copy by navigating to . Provisioning or refreshing to a sandbox environment typically takes from 1 to 5 business days depending on the data volume profile.
Zuora Revenue sandbox supports SSO and REST/SFTP/BOOMI integrations. BOOMI is provisioned on one sandbox environment only.
Migration environment
The migration environment is a private, isolated customer sandbox, intended for heavy performance testing, load testing, and data conversion or migration. It comes with a copy of your production data if available. Zuora customers can purchase high-performance migration tenants on a quarterly or monthly basis.
To subscribe to the migration environment, contact your Zuora representative. If you do not have a Zuora representative, submit a request to Zuora Global Support.
