Learn about how postpaid and prepaid commitments appear in Zuora Billing invoices.

Commitments can produce different invoice patterns depending on whether the customer is billed after consumption or pays the committed amount in advance. The invoice detail page shows the invoice items generated by billing, while the invoice PDF shows the customer-facing presentation configured by the account's HTML invoice template.

Before reviewing an invoice, make sure that the applicable commitment has been billed and that the invoice has been generated. To review the customer-facing PDF, billing document generation must be enabled and the account must use an HTML invoice template.
