View a postpaid commitment true-up invoice

Learn how to locate a postpaid commitment true-up invoice and identify the commitment-related information on the invoice detail page and PDF.

  • Ensure that the relevant postpaid commitment has already been evaluated and billed.

  • If you want to review the customer-facing PDF, ensure that billing document generation is enabled and that the customer account uses an HTML invoice template.

A postpaid true-up is created when the customer's billed spend for a commitment period is lower than the committed amount. The true-up is presented as a non-subscription invoice item on the invoice.

The postpaid commitment true-up shown in the invoice item table as shown in the following screen:

Invoice detail with only the relevant non-subscription commitment true-up item

  1. Locate the invoice created from the postpaid commitment evaluation.
  2. Open the Invoice Detail page.
  3. In the Invoice Item table, locate the commitment true-up line item.
  4. Review the commitment-related information, such as the commitment period and true-up amount.
  5. If you need to review the customer-facing document, open or regenerate the invoice PDF.

You can identify the invoice item that represents the postpaid commitment true-up and verify how commitment information appears in the invoice UI and PDF.
