Learn how to define the approvers for a quote.

1. Click the Approval Chains tab and click New Chain.
2. Enter a name for the approval chain.
3. Select the Routing Type:

   • Select Sequence to require approvals in a specific order.

   • Select Parallel to notify all approvers at the same time and require approval from all of them.

4. In the Add Approver field add users or approval groups as approval steps.

   For a sequential chain, arrange the steps in the order in which approvals must occur.

5. Save the approval chain.

   For example, a sequential chain can contain the following steps:

   1. An individual approver.

   2. The Finance Approvers group.

   After the individual approver approves the request, the request moves to the Finance Approvers group. The request is approved only after the required group approval is complete.
