Configuring mandate consent for Paystack Direct Debit
Configure the Paystack Direct Debit hosted collection flow to collect bank account details and blocking mandate consent, so that Zuora can create the EFT Debit Order mandate and save the payment method.
Before you configure the flow, confirm the following:
- Your Paystack gateway instance is configured in Zuora.
- Paystack Direct Debit is enabled for the gateway instance.
Paystack Direct Debit requires customer consent before Zuora creates and saves the payment method. Zuora creates the mandate in Paystack only after the customer accepts the mandate terms, and saves the payment method only after Paystack creates the mandate successfully.
When the customer submits valid bank account details and accepts the consent text, Zuora creates the mandate in Paystack and saves the payment method with the mandate code and active state.
When Paystack cannot create the mandate, Zuora does not save the payment method and returns a gateway error.
Submit a test transaction in a sandbox environment to confirm that the consent blocks submission and that the saved payment method records the mandate code.
