Configure the notification

Disable the out-of-the-box payment retry in your Zuora tenant before you run Configurable Payment Retry (CPR) to avoid disruption to the retry service.

You have configured a callout template for CPR with the Payment Run Completion event. For more information, see Configure the callout template for CPR.

  1. In the navigation menu, navigate to Extension Studio > Events & Notifications.
  2. Click + Add New Notification.

For more information about creating notifications, see Create a notification.

  3. On the Define Trigger step, click On An Event Occurrence.
  4. On the Select Event step, select Payments > Payment > 2140 - Payment Run Completion.
  5. On the Set Filters step, for Payment Run Result Status, select Completed.
  6. On the Set Delivery Options step, from the Delivered By Callout list, select the callout template that you created.
  7. On the Define Target Accounts step, select a communication profile.

For more information, see Communication profiles.

  8. On the Finalize Notification Details step, specify the following information:
    1. In the Name field, enter Completed Status, or enter another name that identifies the notification as a CPR notification.
    2. Optional: In the Description field, enter a description for the notification.
    3. Switch Active on only when you are ready to process failed payments through CPR.
  9. On the Review Notification step, review the notification settings.
  10. Click Done.

Zuora creates the notification. When Active is switched on, CPR receives a callout each time a payment run completes and starts retrying failed payments.
