Understand how Zuora AI processes and presents responses

Zuora AI shows how it processes your requests, including function calls, thinking steps, and visual summaries, so you can understand the source, structure, and presentation of its responses.

Function calls

Zuora AI uses function calls to retrieve data or perform supported operations through Zuora APIs.

Function calls help you see what Zuora AI is doing while it works on your request.

Each function call can show the following information:

InformationDescription
OperationThe action being performed, such as searching for accounts or retrieving invoice details.
ResultThe result returned by the operation.

Read operations, such as searching for data or retrieving records, can run automatically as part of answering your question.

Write operations, such as posting an invoice or creating a subscription, require your approval before execution.

Thinking

For some requests, Zuora AI can display a Thinking section that shows how it is interpreting your request and what information it is considering.

You can expand or collapse the Thinking section.

Use this information to confirm that Zuora AI is using the right context, especially for complex analysis or multi-step requests.

Visual summaries

Zuora AI can generate visual summaries, including charts and structured layouts, in addition to narrative responses.

For example, you can ask Zuora AI to show subscription growth over time or visualize revenue distribution by product.

When available, visual summaries can help you review data trends more quickly.
