Feature decision nodes

Decision nodes enable the creation of personalized user experiences by defining paths based on specific criteria within the rules canvas.

Use decision nodes to create unique experiences for your users by creating a flow based on two or more paths. You can select the segment title in the decision bar above the rules canvas to see the decision nodes below it.

The decision nodes can be used for different implementations as follows:

All decision nodes except the following:

  • JsonPath decision
  • Meta Tags. Use the Custom Data decision node instead of the Meta Tags decision node
  • Published Data
  • Query Param
  • Custom Input
  • Transformations

JSON

All decision nodes except the following:

  • Meta Tags. Use the JsonPath Decision decision node instead of the Meta Tags decision node
  • Custom Data
  • Published Data
  • Custom Input

SDK

All decision nodes except the following:

  • Meta Tags. Use the JsonPath Decision decision node instead of the Meta Tags decision node
  • Custom Data

When you drag a decision node to the rules canvas, a related dialog displays. Complete the dialog box to define the behavior when an end user encounters the decision node. Once you have defined the behavior, select the Save button to return to the rules builder. The following nodes will display a tooltip with the node name and additional information when hovered over:

  • JWT
  • Meta Tags
  • Date & Time
  • Trials
  • All decision nodes (blue nodes) with truncated labels
