Create a trial

Create a Basic Trial that limits registered users to two content views within seven days.

You have created the Article feature.
You have access to Products > Features.

Use a Basic Trial to give users limited access to a feature. This task shows how to set a trial that allows registered users two content views within a week.

Note: You can use trials in the same way for both features and redirects. For further information on using trials in redirects, see the Access topic.

Navigate to Products > Features from the main menu.
Select the Article feature.
Select the version you want to update.
Select the circle beneath Registered in the user type selector bar.
Drag the Trials decision node from the Access segment onto the rules canvas.
Enter 2 in the Limit of field.
Note:
This sets the maximum number of content views included in the trial.
Select Page Views from the first drop-down. This counts every view toward the limit, including repeat views of the same content.
Select In the last from the second drop-down. This lets you define the duration for which the limit applies.
Enter 7 in the Duration field. This limits the duration to seven days.
Click Save .

The Trials decision node is added to your rules canvas.

Create the payment form outcome that triggers when the trial expires.
