Commitment invoices view

View prepaid commitment invoices and settlement

Learn how to locate prepaid commitment invoices and understand how a prepayment invoice settles a later charge invoice.

  • Ensure that a prepaid commitment invoice has been generated.

  • Ensure that at least one eligible service invoice exists that uses the prepaid balance.

  • If you want to review the customer-facing PDF, ensure that the customer account uses an HTML invoice template.

A prepaid commitment usually involves more than one invoice:
  • The prepayment invoice represents the committed amount that is billed in advance.
  • A later service charge invoice balance is then reduced by the prepayment amount.

The prepaid commitment invoice screen is shown as follows:

  1. Open the prepayment invoice and the service charge invoice.
  2. View the prepayment amount, and prepayment application to the service charge invoice items on the invoice detail page.
  3. View the invoice PDF.

You can identify the prepaid commitment invoice, the related charge invoice, and the way Zuora shows the settlement relationship between them.
