Entitlements management

Simulate entitlement requests

Learn how to use the Simulation tab to test entitlement behavior without affecting production entitlement data.

Use the simulation tools to verify whether an entitlement request would be allowed or denied, test different requested usage quantities, review current usage and remaining balance, and identify why a request is denied.

Simulation results reflect the current entitlement state, configured policies, usage limits, and effective dates.

  1. Navigate to Customers > Entitlements.
  2. Click the Simulation tab.
  3. Configure the entitlement request that you want to test, including the requested usage quantity.
  4. Run the simulation.
  5. Review the simulation results to determine whether the entitlement request would be allowed or denied.

    Review the current usage, remaining balance, and entitlement limits.

  6. If the request is denied, review the denial reason.

    A request can be denied when the requested usage exceeds the configured entitlement limit, the entitlement is not yet active, the entitlement is outside its effective date range, or a custom entitlement policy denies the request.

  7. Use the simulation results to validate entitlement behavior before deploying entitlement policies or integrating with external provisioning or enforcement systems.

You can confirm whether an entitlement request would be granted based on the current entitlement configuration before using the request in production.
