Suspend subscription using icon-based quick suspend flow

Use the quick suspend icon to suspend an active subscription, configure suspend and optional auto-resume dates, and complete the suspend action.

Use this flow to suspend a subscription without combining it with other order actions. This feature is available from Quotes version 10.57.

  1. From the Billing Account and Subscription selector, click the Suspend icon for an active subscription.
  2. Configure the order action dates:
    • Contract Effective Date

    • Service Activation Date

    • Customer Acceptance Date

All default to today. Updating the Contract Effective Date typically updates the others based on existing Quote Studio behavior. For more information about these dates, see Order, subscription and amendment dates.

  3. Configure the suspend effective date:
    • Today - The subscription is suspended on today's date.

    • End Of Last Invoice Period

      Note:

Valid only if the subscription has already been invoiced. Otherwise an error is returned from Billing.

    • Fixed Periods from Today - Enter Suspend Period (number) and Suspend Period Type (Day, Week, Month, Year). For example, 3 weeks from today – the subscription will enter Suspended status three weeks after today's date, not "suspend for 3 weeks".

    • Specific date - The subscription is suspended on a specific date.

  4. (Optional) Enable Set Details for Auto-Resume.
    • If enabled, a Resume section appears with the following options:

      • Today - The subscription is resumed on today's date.

      • Suspend Date - The subscription is resumed on the same day when it is suspended.

      • Fixed Periods from Today

      • Fixed periods from Suspended Date - For example, Resume 3 days after the suspend date.

      • Resume Specific Date - The subscription is resumed on a specific date.

    • If auto resume is not configured, the subscription remains suspended until manually resumed.

  5. Click Suspend.
    Note:
    • If the operation succeeds:

      • The modal closes.

      • A success toast message appears for 10 seconds, summarizing:

        • The subscription number

        • The action (suspended)

        • The suspend policy and, if configured, the auto-resume policy

    • The page does not auto-refresh. You must manually refresh the page to see the updated subscription status and icons. Once the page is refreshed, only Resume should remain visible for that subscription.
