Reference a state in a feature rule
Learn how to use the Journey State decision node in the Rules Builder to incorporate user state logic into feature rules.
Use the Journey State decision node in the Rules Builder to base logic on whether a user is in a particular state within the User State Map.
To use a state in a rule, complete the following steps:
- Navigate to the feature where you want to add the state condition:
- Navigate to Products > Features from the main menu.
- Select the target feature and its version to update.
- In the Rules Builder:
- Select the relevant User Segment title.
- Drag the Journey State decision node onto the rule canvas. The State dialog box opens.
- Choose the state on which to base the decision. These options reflect the states defined in your User State Map.
- Click Save, then proceed to configure the rest of your rule as usual.
