Build checkout experience

Add a new condition for a payment method

Learn how to configure conditions that control when a payment method is displayed in Checkout.

Note:

This feature is available only with the Modernized Zuora Payments add-on SKU.

To access the Early Adopter program, contact your Zuora account representative.

  • Ensure that the payment method is available in Checkout.

  • Ensure that the route for the payment method is configured and published.

  • Ensure that you know the transaction attribute that you want to use for the condition, such as country, currency, amount, or metadata.

Use conditions to control when a payment method is displayed in Checkout. Conditions help you show payment methods only when they are relevant to a transaction, such as for a specific country, currency, order amount, or integration metadata.

  1. In the left navigation pane, navigate to Zuora Payments > Checkout.
  2. In Payment method settings, locate the payment method that you want to configure.
  3. Click the More actions menu next to the payment method, and then select Set Conditions.
  4. In the Set Conditions dialog, click Add new condition.
  5. Enter a descriptive name for the condition.
  6. Select the parameters that you want to use for the condition.

    You can create conditions based on the following values:

    • Order country

    • Order currency & amount

    • Metadata

    Complete the fields that are displayed for the parameter that you selected.

    If you want to display a payment method that is only available to orders that is greater than 100 CAD in Canada, you can specify:

    • Order country: Specify One of the following - Canada

    • Select the Select amount for each currency checkbox, and specify Greater than - 100 - Canadian dollar

  7. Optional: In the Customize payment method display section, disable the Use default settings option and enter the following details:
    1. Enter a display name.
    2. Enter a description to provide additional context for the customer.
    3. Enter the logo URL.
  8. Click Add.
  9. Click Publish settings to apply the condition to your checkout.

After you publish the change, the payment method is displayed only when a transaction matches the condition that you configured.
